The North Shore Continuum (NSC) is an intensive home- and community-based family therapy service for youth and families.

NCS services are designed to help youth who experience emotional and behavioral challenges within their homes while simultaneously supporting their primary caregivers.  We use two evidence-based frameworks to maximize outcomes for youth and families: High Fidelity Wraparound and Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency. High Fidelity Wraparound (wraparound), an evidence-informed care coordination model in which services and supports "wrap around" youth and families based on their unique strengths, needs and preferences. Through wraparound, the NSC does "whatever it takes" to ensure youth live safely and productively in their homes and communities with their caregivers. Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC)) is a trauma informed flexible clinical framework that helps family members better understand their own and others’ emotional experiences and how they impact relationships and communication patterns. The goal of our approaches is to support youth and families in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage their needs independently, promoting continued emotional and behavioral health and success well beyond the end of NSC services.

The NSC teams consist of a master's level mental health clinician, a bachelor's level outreach worker, as well as a peer specialists if needed.  NSC offers an intensive team approach that delivers comprehensive assessment of family strengths, needs, and culture; treatment planning and meeting facilitation; family systems therapy, interventions and outreach, care coordination, and crisis intervention. Our primary goal is to promote safety and stability at home and in the community. Our services and service delivery are designed to be strength-based and highly individualized, both on a planned, scheduled basis and as needed for additional support.
