The Haverhill Opioid Abuse Prevention Program, part of NFI’s Haverhill Outreach Prevention and Education (HOPE), provides recovery coaching and support services for Haverhill residents experiencing substance use issues. 

NFI provides substance use prevention, social worker follow-up to overdoses, recovery coaching peer support, care coordination, and scholarships for sober housing and peer support training.  We meet people “where they are at” and provide the support and resources on their journey to a healthier lifestyle within their communities.

Program services include:

  • Individual and group peer support to persons experiencing substance use provided by a recovery coach.
  • Education and distribution of harm reduction supplies including Naloxone.
  • Community education events.
  • Financial assistance to access sober housing.
  • Scholarships for recovery coach training.
  • Care coordination and referral to needed services.
  • Community coalition-building through the HOPE Task Force
