NFI’s Community Based Services reintegrates court-involved youth into their communities after being committed to the Department of Youth Services on various charges. CBS youth have completed their treatment phase and are returning home. With district office in Lawrence, Haverhill, Lynn and Lowell, NFI staff work in collaboration with DYS Caseworkers to coordinate and deliver services and interventions designed to provide optimal support to ensure each youth’s future success in the community.
Key areas of focus include housing, food, clothing, medical and behavioral health needs, and educational and vocational needs including Pre-GED, GED and individual tutoring. In addition, youth and their families are introduced to services such as behavior therapy, job programs, healthy social outlets and community service opportunities.
Through these combined efforts of rehabilitation and community integration, the program’s objective is to make a lasting impact on the lives of the youth we serve, effecting positive change on each youth, their families and their communities.
