NFI’s Chelmsford residence in Chelmsford, MA serves adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) that were sustained prior to the age of 22. Individuals are typically are referred to the program after spending time in long-term care facilities. The program offers residents a full range of services including assistance with activities of daily living, recreational opportunities, individual support, transportation, and coordination of medical needs and services. The residence has been carefully designed to create a comfortable home-like living environment. The goal of the program is to enable adults with traumatic brain injury to live in a less restrictive setting, to offer the maximum level of independence, and to fully engage in community life.
