Middleton, MA – NFI Massachusetts has been awarded a multi-year contract with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Special Education in Institutional Settings to operate NFI Evolutions Academy, an 8th-12th grade school embedded within our Intensive Residential Treatment Programs, Evolutions 1 and 2.
NFI Evolutions Academy will provide a curriculum that meets all core requirements of the Massachusetts public school system while supporting each student’s individual needs. Evolutions Academy will ensure each student’s continued academic growth, address academic challenges, and seamlessly integrate each student’s well-being and educational needs to support their overall academic progress.
Bryan Lary, NFI Massachusetts’ Division Director of Intensive Residential Services, had this to say regarding the new opportunity:
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to fully integrate our educational programming with all aspects of our clinical and residential programming. NFI will be able to support our youth throughout the entire continuum of their stay, from their clinical care to their education, helping to improve their outcomes and overall quality of care.”
This partnership offers NFI Massachusetts an exciting new avenue to expand its mission, “Maximizing Potential to Achieve the Full Promise of Community Living.” The opening of NFI Evolutions Academy comes at the end of a summer that also saw the launch of its Case Management and Reentry Services program in partnership with the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. These new programs are a testament to NFI’s commitment to strategically expanding its services for individuals, families, and now, students, across Massachusetts.
NFI Evolutions Academy began its inaugural school year on September 9.
