Division Director - Community Based Service
Heather began her career in 2002 at a residential youth home in Seacoast, NH, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Keene State College. Throughout her career, she has been committed to supporting youth and their families within their home settings. Heather earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire in 2007.
Upon graduation, Heather worked for Child and Family Services, Inc., in the Adoption Journeys program. In this role, she supported adoptive families throughout the Commonwealth, first as a response worker and later as a supervisor for the Boston/South Shore regions.
Heather found her home at NFI in July 2014 as the Clinical Director of Foundations for Families, a role she held until becoming the Program Director in 2019. During her time at Foundations, Heather spearheaded initiatives such as ARC Grow, programmatic development, and contract oversight. In 2025 Heather became the Division Director for Community and Home Based Services.
Heather is an agency trainer for Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Suicide Prevention, and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). In this capacity, she provides curriculum support and clinical oversight. In 2019, she was selected by MassHealth to serve as a trainer for Crisis Stabilization and Safety Planning for CBHI In-Home Therapy teams across the Commonwealth.
Heather is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Clark University in 2020. She demonstrates an unwavering commitment to NFI’s values and mission and is a compassionate, dedicated leader who works to support both staff and families alike.
