Division Director - Adolescent Residential Services
Shantelle Castle, DSW, is the Division Director of Adolescent Residential Services at NFI. Dr. Castle is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Licensed School Social Worker and Adjustment Counselor (SSW/SAC). She holds a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Social Work from Boston University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Castle served as the Division Clinical Director, where she oversaw clinical services for six adolescent residential programs and four adult group homes. She is currently an adjunct professor at Boston University and brings a passion for teaching and training to NFI as an agency trainer, serving as an instructor for Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC); Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB); and Suicide Prevention trainings.
Before joining NFI, Dr. Castle worked in both residential and educational settings, including latency-age residential education programs, adolescent group homes, and public schools.
