NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a licensed-eligible Master’s level Clinical Case Manager for its North Crossing program located in Newton, MA.


  • Sharing the overall planning, implementation and oversight of the clinical services provided by the program.
  • Assess new referrals to the program and arrange or conduct testing and evaluations as needed. Develop and/or oversee development of individual treatment plans in cooperation with program staff, other relevant service providers, client’s family (when appropriate) and client.
  • Review client clinical records to ensure quality and compliance with funding source regulations.
  • Provide appropriate feedback and training for program staff regarding record keeping.
  • Provide individual counseling, when appropriate, as defined by each client’s clinical treatment plan. Facilitate and/or coordinate clinical in-service training.
  • Develop curriculum for therapeutic groups.
  • Collaborate with program management and staff regarding therapeutic milieu and clinical orientation of program.
  • Facilitate family meetings and home visits, as defined by each client’s clinical treatment plan.
  • Act as a liaison with psychiatrist and other agencies providing auxiliary clinical services.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or participate in case conferences, treatment meetings and clinical review meetings, as appropriate. Be familiar with all program emergency procedures.
  • Provide emergency on-call for program.


  • Completed Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required.
  • Candidate must be licensed-eligible.
  • LMHC or LICSW preferred.
  • Previous experience with program population required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills required.

North Crossing in Newton, MA provides individualized and comprehensive residential services to male and female youth age 12-18 and their families.Youth referred to the program are in need of temporary out-of-home placement to address a range of emotional and behavioral issues. The program offers 24 hour staffing that provides support and supervision. Comprehensive clinical services include treatment planning, life skills training, individual/group/family therapy and access to social and recreational resources in the community.

The highly structured milieu provides a safe and predictable context in which youth can stabilize behaviors, progress in treatment and develop new skills. Staff members serve as teachers and coaches, developing practical supports and interventions for youth that are readily transferable to the home environment and can be easily understood and taught to families. While the program specializes in family reunification, it also works with youth who transfer to foster care or independent living. For youth who do not have reunification as a goal, the program focuses on cultivating family involvement whenever possible and establishing meaningful lifelong connections to other caring adults who can guide them into adulthood.
